2022 Reflections to take into 2023

WHAT A YEAR!!

Seems like we say that every year on the 1st of Jan. 2022 has come and gone and boy did it do so in a hurry!! I felt like once Easter came around, we were already making plans for our Halloween costumes and in turn planning what gifts to buy for the Holiday Season.

After being laid off by USC due to the pandemic shutting the campus down, I was able to take the first year off of work and just focus on being a new dad in my later years of 30. It also allotted more time for me to finally work on my lifelong dream of starting my own business.

Fast forward to January 2022, I launched my meal prep business via word of mouth and Instagram and Facebook. I have had help from many currently succesful friends who have started their own business(es), including getting much needed continuous insight from my wife. She is a Realtor, and has had her own business for quite some time now and is very successful and diligent when it comes to running her business and representing her own brand. I am thankful to have had such great positive support in my first year.

Of course, every story has its ups and downs, as mine did for sure. I struggled towards the end with myself getting sick with Covid, as well as numerous members of my household. Thus putting my business on hold for the holiday season. I decided to shut down for the last 2 months to regroup, get healthy and sanitize and clean.

Now, it is the 2nd week of January, and I have a much more positive and greater outlook for how 2023 will go. I'm planning on incorporating more catering events, and themed holiday menus or special prepared items throughout the year. My main focus was getting this website up and getting things more automated so I could focus more on the cooking side of things.

So, with all that said, and to keep this from getting longer, I thank everyone who has; placed an order, reached out with inquiries about the food, referred friends/family, shared a post on social media, had an issue ordering, needed a refund due to the holiday shut down. I thank you all for your patience and continued support.
